Now that you’ve started e-networking with link exchanges, do it on video! Put your face to a name with Web video common sites like; YouTube, iTunes, Blogs and your website… Let clients and prospects get to “know” you better.

YouTube and iTunes help you promote your company video and website, such as tagging, categorizing, rating, commenting, and groups. Plus… with iTunes, people can subscribe to your regular postings.

  • Have you tasted a free sample at the supermarket? Let your potential clients sample your products and services in a video. Answer common questions before they even meet you in person.  Show your product or service in ways that teach, inform and ultimately sell.

  • Other than your computer and Internet access, you need a webcam or USB microphone, presentation or screen, capture software or a pre-created video and a way to capture it on your computer. With a little planning, you will be broadcasting your message. Think about your audience, rehearse your script, and preview your recording before you post it live.

  • A 2007 Online Publishers Association study found people seek out news and humor content when viewing online video. Why not do both? Consider educating and entertaining with an infomercial. For example, you can write a heckler into your video script, giving you a chance to address rebuttals upfront. Have fun with it!

  • Create a series of one-minute microseminars. Interview a client whose problem you solved. In other words, record helpful clips. Informative clips may also qualify you for the YouTube Partner Program for even wider distribution.
